We super appreciate the local bookstores that open their doors to us to let us share our work in these trying times. We will share our work and have books for sale too. This is one of my favorite bookstores and they have a great selection of books and cafecito too.

Workshop at UCR, Palm Desert
I am happy to return as alumni to UCR, Palm Desert where I got my MFA in creative writing last June. I will be teaching a workshop on literary citizenship. I know that we are all struggling with how to fight back against the continual attack on our communities, and the only way I know how is to stay connected to people, to reach out and to build.

Four writers, with roots in South East LA will be sharing their poetry. We all grew up in the neighborhood and we found our way to writing.
